Richard Huganir is Professor and Director of the Department of Neuroscience, Director of the Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute, and Co-Director of the Johns Hopkins Brain Science Institute at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is also the President-Elect of the Society for Neuroscience. His laboratory is interested in the mechanisms that regulate synaptic transmission and synaptic plasticity.
